Entrée chez soi bases its methods on Alternative mental health.
This is characterized by an attitude of respect for the people primarily concerned, their life stories, and their reality. We believe that everyone has mental health, which is characterized by a search for balance. We also believe that recovery can follow multiple paths, outside of the medical approach.
The organization is also inspired by autonomous popular education (EPA), a process aimed at social transformation outside of institutions, based on the experiences and opinions of the people concerned. EPA aims for a fairer and more united society.
Entrée chez soi Brome-Missisquoi works on all spheres of life for individuals living with mental health issues.
Support in the community and assist people experiencing mental health issues towards autonomy through a global and alternative approach from a popular education perspective, recognizing citizens as capable of influencing the environment, the community and social causes, thus promoting their full development.
In 2029, Entrée chez soi's expanded housing, accommodation, and support offerings will allow it to adapt to the diverse needs of people living with mental health challenges. Its community-based approach to mutual aid has earned it a reputation as a bearer of social transformation and hope!
